Guidelines For Admission

Student seeking admission for FY (B.A, B.Com, BMS, B.Sc., IT, BA & F) should enroll/register at the website of University of Mumbai – http://www.mum.digitaluniversity.ac.in/ Admission is given as per merit and other norms as laid down by the University, the Government or/and the Management, from time to time. The Principal reserves the right to amend/modify the guidelines regarding admission, as and when such amendments/modifications are received from the Government/University or the Management, as the case may be. They will be accordingly notified on the Notice Board of the College.

  • F.Y. B.A. / B.Com / B.Sc.

Admission in the above classes is subjected to availability of seats in the College.

A candidate seeking admission to the three years integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Commerce or Science must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (SYJunior College/HSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent with subjects, as specified by the University, in Arts, Commerce or Science streams.

A student who passed an examination equivalent to SYJC of the Higher Secondary Board and Intermediate (Arts/Commerce/Science) of Maharashtra State Board or from other State Boards and immigrated from other Universities and Boards will be given admission to F.Y.B.A / F.Y.B.Com /F.Y.B.Sc. only on the submission of “Provisional Eligibility Certificate” issued by the University of Mumbai. Such students should submit migration certificate, statement of marks and a passing certificate in original along with true copies within two months from the date of admission. Otherwise, their admission is liable to be canceled.

  • F. Y. B.M.S. / B.Com. (A & F)

A candidate who has passed HSC (XIIth standard) Examination with minimum 45% marks for General Category (at First Attempt) and minimum 40% marks for Reserved category (at First Attempt) of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any engineering branches with two / three / four years duration conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination after S.S.C., is eligible to seek admission to F.Y. B.M.S.

  • F. Y. B.Sc. (I.T. / C.S.)

A candidate seeking admission to the degree course in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Computer Science shall have passed HSC (XIIth standard) Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate for open category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates.

A candidate who has passed Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology / Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/ Mechanical and Allied branches, Civil and Allied branches of Engineering after S.S.C. (Xth standard) are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body. Minimum 45% marks are required for open category candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates.

  • S.Y / T.Y. (All Programs)

Students coming from other college affiliated to the University of Mumbai will be given provisional admission only on submission of a “ No Objection Certificate” with University PRN from the Principal of the college last attended. Their admission will be confirmed only on receipt of the Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from their previous college and availability of the subject combination. For this purpose, they should submit an application form along with T.C. fees to the College office at the time of admission.

A few seats may be available in certain subjects for the students from other colleges seeking admission to Second and Third Year classes.

PG PROGRAMMES

  • M.Com. ADVANCED ACCOUNTANCY

The eligibility criteria for this course is graduation in B.Com. OR B.M.S.

  • M.Sc. CHEMISTRY

Candidates with the following combination of subjects will be eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Degree
Course in Chemistry :

The Bachelor’s Degree in Faculty of Science in Chemistry as a major Subject (with 6 or 3 Units) of this University or equivalent Degree of recognized Universities.

The Candidates will be entitled for admission to the M.Sc. (by Papers) Degree Course in Chemistry purely on Merit (i.e., marks obtained by the Candidate during his/ her B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as a major Subject – 6 or 3 units).

  • M.Sc. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The eligibility criteria for this course is graduation in B.Sc. – I.T., B.Sc. (Computer Science) OR B.Sc. (Mathematics).

  • M.Sc. MATHEMATICS

B. Sc. with Mathematics as the main subject.

  • M.Sc. ZOOLOGY

Candidates with the following combination of subjects will be eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Degree
Course in Zoology (Oceanography):

The Bachelor’s Degree in Faculty of Science in Zoology as a major Subject (with 6 or 3 Units) of this University or equivalent Degree of recognized Universities.

The Candidates will be entitled for admission to the M.Sc. (by Papers) Degree Course in Zoology (Oceanography) purely on Merit (i.e., marks obtained by the Candidate during his/ her B.Sc. Degree with Zoology as a major Subject – 6 or 3 units).
